Always surrounded …


@pedalingheroine : Always surrounded by bikes! 🚴‍♀️ Happy with today’s training which was two hours including some higher end aerobic work. I did the same session ten days ago and felt absolutely horrific during it (hitting max HR for zone3-4 watts) so I ended up cutting the workout short and going home. I’m learning to listen to my body and when I’m very tired there’s no point pushing through a session or you’ll risk injury or getting ill. When I started working with a coach for the first time last year I would have said I’m just being “soft” if a workout was proving more difficult than expected and keep pushing through. However, the purpose of the “aerobic” session is to work that system and this was not being achieved with my body going into pretty painful threshold/v02 max HR for every interval. Today I felt GREAT and heart rate was over ten beats per minute lower for the same watts. Just shows the difference a few days of easier sessions and recovery can do. 👍
