@pedalingheroine : Sick/rest day means getting stuck into some crafts with teammate @hilaryh13. We are working on a decorative poster for the apartment and it’s turning out nicely. 😀 I used to paint and draw a lot - forgot how relaxing it is and how much I enjoy it. I think I will get my hands on some painting supplies soon and start some art projects. It would be good for me to have hobbies outside of cycling! 😅 Anyone else like drawing/painting or making things as a way to switch off?

@pedalingheroine : Woke up this morning with a chesty cough and sore throat so instead of training I spent the day resting and soaking up some sunshine. It’s hard to feel sorry for yourself while sick when you’ve got views like these from your balcony. ☀️ I’ve been training a lot recently and my body is definitely stronger than its ever been but my immune system has obviously taken a bit of a hit with travelling, work and recent food poisoning. I will try not to feel too guilty for taken a day or two away from the bike and gym. Hopefully by Monday I will be 100% again. :)

@pedalingheroine : You can never be too close to the camera lens right? 😂 Came across this snap from the @rideshimano riders alliance last month and laughed - so thought I’d share it. We were asked to ignore the cameras and this is what I do. 😀😀🙋🏼‍♀️ Sorry @wouterroosenboom.nl 😅 I am not all smiles this evening as my legs are in absolute bits from the past few days training. 😫 Thankfully I’ve some yoga classes coming up next week with @rideandrevive - really looking forward to it!
